On Sunday 6th November, we held our first regular ‘all age’ service, (i.e. children and adults together for the whole service). The theme of the service was ‘Building on a Firm Foundation’, based on Jesus’ parable of the wise and foolish builders. There was plenty of interaction, including a competition to see who could build the strongest house. One team built on the surface of a table (the rock), and the other team built on a large jelly (the sand). Needless to say who won! Our all age services are held on the first Sunday of each month.
After the service, the majority of the congregation headed to Robelle Domain for a church picnic. We just hung out together, relaxed as a church family and played a few ball games. Towards the end of the afternoon, some of the children (and adults), cooled off in the water park. We look forward to more events like this, as we strengthen our friendships and sense of belonging.
