Kids Church 14th June

This page will be set out in a similar order to that of Kids Church each week for ease of use. Feel free to pick and choose an order that works best for you and your family. Some key elements include prayer, bible reading, and questions.

We would love to see you participating in Kids Church from your own homes, so if you would like to share some pictures or comments – we can add them to our weekly kids collage for our St Andrew’s Facebook Page!

You’ll find questions for the Youth at the bottom of the document.

Prayer: (1 min)

Dear God, thank you for making people in your image. Help us to see how we’ve messed up and gone against your plan. Teach us what it means to be your follower. Help us to believe in you, trust you and follow you. Thank you that you are helping us to become more like you. Help us to reflect your love and goodness out into the world, so that when people see us they see you. In your name we pray, Amen.

Worship song with actions: (2 mins)

Read the Bible verse: (1 min)

Galatians 3:26-28

26 So in Christ Jesus you are all children of God through faith, 27 for all of you who were baptized into Christ have clothed yourselves with Christ. 28 There is neither Jew nor Gentile, neither slave nor free, nor is there male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus.

Questions & Activity: (5 mins)

  1. What are some words you would use to describe yourself?
    • Who you are on the inside – your personality (kind, funny, loving etc.)
  2. Watch the video below for the apples activity! 😊
    • Note the differences in shape, colour and size etc. But when you peel each of these apples, they have the same flesh inside of them.
    • People may act, sound and look different, but inside we are all still people and we are loved by God.
  3. Have you every judged someone based on how they look?
  4. How can you keep yourself from doing this, or see others the way God sees them?

Activity: Person Mosaic (5 mins)

Equipment needed: pens, paper, newspaper/magazine/coloured paper, scissors, glue.

  1. On your piece of paper draw the outline of a person (or a gingerbread person)
  2. Find a space (outside of your person) and write “We are all one in Christ”.
  3. Cut our small rectangles from your newspaper/magazine/coloured paper.
  4. Put glue on your outline of a person and stick all the different pieces of paper that you cut out onto it.
    • This shows us that all people are different, and we are all one in Christ, it doesn’t matter what we look like on the outside, on the inside God loves us and we need Jesus!
