Communion Course

Sunday 9th, 16th & 23rd October

On the 9th, 16th and 23rd October we will be running a First Communion Course, during Kids Church, as part of our 9:00 am service.

The course is designed to help children understand the importance and significance of communion and the manner in which it is to be received.

At St. Andrew's we admit children to communion provided they have an 'age appropriate' understanding of what it is they are doing when they participate. Our aim is to support parents and families to imbue our children with this understanding. If your child does not yet receive communion and you would like them to, please ensure that they attend on the Sundays when we are running the course. The course is open to any school-aged child from our church community or from the wider community. Everyone is welcome. For those children who already receive communion, the course will serve as a reminder of what communion is all about.

On the 23rd of October, after the third session of the course, the children will receive their first communion as part of the main service. We look forward to this special service in the life of our church.
